The founders of several world-famous companies developed the key to their success in their garages. Reichardt Verpackungstechnik is one of those companies. Waltraud Reichardt turned her "one-woman operation", based in her living room, into one of the leading service providers in the cosmetics industry. 1976 On 1st July, Waltraud Reichardt founds Reichardt Verpackungstechnik in her small apartment. With just a coffee table and a typewriter, she lays the foundations for her success. She counts and packages cable lugs and plug connectors at a price of DM 25.50 per 100 pieces. Her customer is an electrical engineering company from a nearby town.
1978
Ms Reichardt rents a double garage and takes on her first employee.
1981
A new 500 m2 production facility is acquired on the Erzhausen industrial estate.
1984
Following the purchase of an adjacent property on the industrial estate, a new three-storey facility is built for production and management.
1988 Founding of Reichardt Abfüll-Logistik GmbH as a 100% subsidiary. The regional
council of Darmstadt grants the company permission to operate under the German Pharmaceutical Products Act (AMG).
2000
Waltraud Reichardt founds REICHARDT INTERNATIONAL AG.
Research and testing are carried out in a laboratory equipped with the latest technology (including microbiology).
The company's own state-of-the-art wastewater system guarantees a smooth and independent production process.
2001
REICHARDT INTERNATIONAL-LOGISTIK GmbH is founded.
2006
Waltraud Reichardt acquires Emil Kiessling GmbH in Georgensgmünd, Bavaria.
2007
Waltraud Reichardt's daughter, Martina Reichardt-Demirtas, takes over the management of the company.
Mid-2010
Reconstruction work begins on new business premises in Erzhausen. The old warehouse is turned into a new production facility with a separate GMP room for pharmaceutical orders. Filling/packaging areas are also divided into white/grey areas. The Research and Development department at the Emil Kiessling GmbH subsidiary gains a new 812 m2 laboratory area, technical centre and first-floor test salon in Erzhausen.
2011
The new business premises are opened.
